Welcome

“It was a challenge to translate the way I experience Rio and the lifestyle that inspires me into a hotel. I wanted to create a place that makes people from Rio feel confident about recommending it to friends who come from abroad, as if they were welcoming someone into their home and leaving them mesmerized by the best things the city has to offer.

Welcome”

Restinga Project

The “Restinga Project” is the result of a public-private partnership that aims to promote the recovery of the Brazilian coast through the preservation and reforestation of the restinga (coastal sand forest) with native species and the development of environmental education activities.

The project is managed by the City of Rio and was developed by Instituto-e. It aims to restore the original vegetation of the coast, contributing to the fauna and flora, helping to balance the local temperature, and preventing the displacement of sand on stormy days with strong winds.

Some dunes located on the coast of Ipanema and Leblon were adopted by JANEIRO to be preserved, as a means of contributing to the balance of our surrounding ecosystem.

Sustainability Report
